From 1 March 2026, we proudly operate as Hero Serv (Pty) Ltd, a Level 1 B-BBEE, South African-owned business with significant black female ownership.

This evolution follows a strategic shareholder realignment in 2024, strengthening our commitment to local empowerment while retaining the strength of our global affiliation. Sodexo remains a shareholder in the South African business and we continue to align with international best practices and global standards.

Sodexo established operations in South Africa in the late 1980s as part of its international expansion. For more than 45 years, we have operated in South Africa as part of the global Sodexo network, delivering integrated facilities management and food services across workplaces, healthcare, education and industrial environments.

Today, as Hero Serv, we carry that legacy forward. With Food & Service as the Hero, we are proudly locally led, globally connected and focused on creating a better day for everyone.
